GAINESVILLE, Fla. – With scoring leader Walter Clayton Jr. sitting on Florida’s bench, his teammates needed to step up.

Tyrese Samuel and Zyon Pullin took over.

Samuel scored a career-high 28 points, Pullin added 21 and No. 24 Florida never trailed in an 83-74 victory over woeful Missouri on Wednesday night.

Sean East II led the Tigers with 20 points. Nick Honor added 18, and Tamar Bates, who torched the Gators for 36 points in their first meeting of the season, finished with 15.

 

 

CONWAY, S.C.– Izaiyah Nelson had 16 points in Arkansas State’s 71-60 win against Coastal Carolina on Wednesday night.

Nelson added 12 rebounds for the Red Wolves (16-14, 11-6 Sun Belt Conference). Dyondre Dominguez scored 14 points and added seven rebounds. Derrian Ford was 3 of 10 shooting (1 for 6 from 3-point range) to finish with nine points while adding eight rebounds. The Red Wolves picked up their sixth straight victory.

 

 

NORMAL, Ill. – Johnny Kinziger scored 20 points and hit a jumper at the buzzer to lift Illinois State over Missouri State 75-74 on Wednesday night.

The Bears (15-15, 7-12) were led by Donovan Clay, who recorded 21 points and seven rebounds. Missouri State also got 21 points and five assists from Alston Mason. N.J. Benson also recorded 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

 

 

MOBERLY MO—-The Missouri State-West Plains Grizzlies lost to Moberly Area Community College 92-71, Wednesday night. The Grizzlies dropped to 9-20 on the season. They will be back in action Saturday at State Fair Community College.
