The highway Patrol says that 72-year-old Paul Hart suffered moderate injuries when a 17-year-old juvenile failed to yield and made a turn into the path of the vehicle that Hart was in, causing the vehicles to collide and the vehicle that Hart was in, overturned. Hart was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on Missouri 413 a half of a mile south of Springfield.
A Walnut Ridge man was arrested after allegedly threatening to steal a vehicle. Joseph Lewis Settlemoir allegedly approached a woman and threatened ti take her vehicle. Settlemoir has a lengthy criminal history, with charges of burglary, arson, terroristic threatening, and several other various charges. He was taken to the Lawrence County Detention Center.
