38-year-old Tiffani Leola Vazquez was arrested Tuesday in connection with a house fire that occurred in early 2023 in the Gamaliel area. The house was occupied by three adults and one juvenile and began in the carport or porch area. The house and two vehicles were total losses. The total loss was valued at around $110,000. Vazquez allegedly told someone that she had paid someone to burn the house because one of the people living there was stealing from her. The conversation was recorded by another person. Vazquez has been charged with 4 counts of criminal attempt to commit murder and felony arson and she is charged as a habitual offender. Vazquez is being held on $250,000 bond
