A 16-year-old Ava Boy was injured in an accident south of Ava on Thursday. The juvenile suffered minor injuries when he drove off the road and overturned the pickup he was driving. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on Highway 5, seven miles south of Ava.
