47-year-old Michael Jones was arrested on County Road 517. Jones was unconscious behind the wheel of the vehicle. When a deputy woke him up, he began cursing and resisted arrest. Jones was tasered by the deputy twice. The deputy then went hands-on with Jones and both subjects ended up on the ground resulting in Deputy Box applying the LVNR vascular neck restraint, which rendered Jones unconscious and Deputy Box then safely applied handcuffs.
Jones was placed on a 24-hour hold and a warrant for his arrest was obtained for resisting/interfering with an arrest and Driving While Intoxicated. The bond was set at $1500 cash only
