The State of Missouri is again set to move forward with the execution of a man who murdered and raped his cousin, in a matter of days after he made claims that he should be granted a recess by the governor.
The Supreme Court of Missouri announced on Friday that the state will move forward with the execution of 51-year-old Brian J. Dorsey on Tuesday. Dorsey had filed a motion for a stay of execution however the court found that he failed to satisfy its requirements. Dorsey had previously filed two petitions for a writ of habias corpas which were both denied by the Missouri Supreme Court. He was found guilty of the murders of his cousin Sarah Bonnie and her husband Ben.
