The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of two people after a traffic stop at the Junction of Highway 76 and 95.  66-year-old Sharon Brown of Mountain Grove and 51-year-old Donald Reed of Norwood were arrested after a search of the vehicle by K-9 York, who alerted the deputy to the passenger’s side of the vehicle where they found two shotguns, and Brown told the deputy that she had illegal items on her person. She showed them a case with 80 grams of meth.  Brown and Reed both are convicted felons with multiple past drug arrests.  They also had a five-year-old child in the vehicle with them. Brown and Reed were placed on a 24-hour hold and booked into the Douglas County Jail. A warrant was issued for both subjects for second-degree trafficking of drugs, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of possession of a weapon with a felony-controlled substance.

The bond was set at $50,000 cash only for both subjects.
