After months of inner turmoil including charges of nepotism and state laws not being followed, an all-new Mountain View City Council was sworn in this past Tuesday. Newly elected Mayor Charry McCann joins David Bauer, Judi Colter, and Calvin Perry, with one seat still open after Brenda Colter was removed from the council in March for voting in favor of her cousin-in-law’s appointment- a violation of Missouri state law.
Once the formalities were out of the way, it was down to business including Missouri Municipal League training; MML is a non-profit organization providing training to city councils and administrators throughout the state, covering relevant topics such as legal requirements, leadership and ethics.
