Three local accidents reported this weekend

A West Plains woman was injured when her vehicle was hit in the rear by another vehicle. 47-year-old Roseanna Tackitt suffered moderate injuries when she slowed to make a turn and was hit by a vehicle driven by 54-year-old David Fare of Caulfield. Fare was charged with felony DWI habitual offender, Felony DWI with physical injury, following too close and he also had a Howell County Warrant for a misdemeanor traffic offense. Tackitt was taken to Ozarks Healthcare. The accident happened on U.S. 160, four miles east of Caulfield.

 

Two Willow Spr8ings residents were injured in an accident west of Cabool on Saturday. James and Regina Owens both 68 years old, suffered minor injuries when 38-year-old Jessica Peterson of Mountain Grove struck the rear of the vehicle they were in, causing them to run off the road and overturn. Both James and Regina Owens were taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. Peterson was charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident, felony DWI resulting in physical injury, careless and imprudent driving, and no insurance. The accident happened on Highway 60, one mile west of Cabool.

 

An accident in Ripley County on Friday left a man from Naylor with minor injuries. The Highway Patrol reports that 40-year-old Brooks Dunkin was injured when he pulled into the path of another vehicle. Dunkin was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. The accident happened on Highway 142 at Kelsey Street in Naylor.
