On Thursday, Ranger Boats reduced its workforce by 70 jobs in their Flippin plant. Ranger Boats is a subsidiary of Bass Pro Shops and a representative announced in a press release that the company needs to make adjustments in response to the current soft demand for marine products and the overall economic climate.
In addition to Flippin, 85 position were eliminated at the Lebanon, Mo. plant and 21 at the Boliver, Mo. plant. If there is any upside, at all, for Flippin at all, Ranger will continue to employ over 500 people at the Flippin location.
