The Kansas City Chiefs re-loaded in the 2024 NFL draft, picking prospects who should be able to contribute to their title defense campaign next season.
From the team’s selection of Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy in Round 1 to their decision to bolster their offensive line on the second and third day of the draft, Kansas City was almost universally praised for the decisions they made last week.
Unfortunately, the influx of talent may force some tenured veterans off the Chiefs’ roster when the 2024 regular season starts. Teams in the NFL can only have 53 players on their active roster after training camp and the preseason, and while players like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and Trent McDuffie are safe, some of their teammates might not be so lucky.
