A Texas County man is charged with abuse, neglect, and sexual assault of a child.
On April 25th, Rex L Wood was arrested and charged with Abuse and Neglect of a Child, Sexual Contact and 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse. According to his arrest report, Sergeant Ruben Salazar from the Texas County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Houston Police Department on an investigation involving an assault of a child under the age of 18. The victim’s mother said that she had pepper sprayed wood after hearing he had sexually assaulted her daughter the night before.
The victim stated that she had been woken multiple times throughout the night by wood touching her inappropriately while she was asleep on the couch. Woods being held at the Texas County jail with a $2000 cash only bond.
