Man arrested after traffic stop in Willow Springs

The Howell County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a man after a traffic stop in Willow Springs. On May 3rd, 43-year-old Darel Mohesky was stopped for a traffic violation and when officers approached he started getting aggravated and refused to exit the vehicle.  He ultimately complied and two-edged weapons were removed from Mohesky’s person. K9 Ares conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted them to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and deputies located a black box that contained digital scales, a glass pipe, and a large plastic bag containing over an ounce (on non-certified scales) of a white crystalline substance, which field tested positive for methamphetamine. Darrel Mohesky was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending warrant, for Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
