
A total of 250 students will be candidates for graduation from Missouri State University-West Plains during the 2024 commencement ceremony Saturday at the West Plains Civic Center.
This includes students receiving associate degrees and certificates.
In addition, 97 students will be eligible to receive degrees from Missouri State University-Springfield graduate and undergraduate programs. Several graduate and undergraduate programs are available at the West Plains campus through the Missouri State Outreach program.
The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. in the civic center arena. It also will be livestreamed. Visit WP.MissouriState.edu/Commencement to access the livestream link the afternoon of the event.
Nicklaus Martin, an award-winning sound designer with Source Sound, Inc., in Springfield, will give the keynote address. Martin is a 2015 graduate of MSU-WP and a 2018 graduate of MSU in Springfield.
Following graduation, Martin moved to Los Angeles, California, and found work as an editor and eventually a senior supervising sound designer at Source Sound. In 2023, he relocated to Springfield to open a branch studio for Source Sound.
