There was a short agenda but among the items discussed was the Highway 63/19 project and they heard from Toth and Associates who expressed a desire to be the engineering firm for the project.  The Council also heard from Terri Wrenfrow with the Oregon County Food Pantry who talked about the need to find a new home for the pantry, since they are now being asked to pay rent and the rent is going up. Several suggestions were discussed including the possibility of a new location near the industrial park. Oregon County Presiding Commissioner David Stubblefield talked to the council about funding for 9-1-1.

The City Council also set a date of June 11th at 6:30 pm for a public hearing on the Lager’s retirement and they approved letting Utility Supervisor Dustin Madden get quotes to remove some trees in the city. The city council then heard from The Saddle Club about a concert set for August 17 at the arena, featuring Jordan Reiner from the Voice TV Show. The City Council meets on the second Tuesday of every month at City Hall.
