A Baxter County woman pleads guilty to reduced charges
This past Monday, 37-year-old Brittney Wood pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and 3rd degree escape.
It all started in January when Wood was arrested after she refused to leave the Super 8 Motel in Mountain Home after management had attempted to eject her for refusing to pay.
Once finally in custody, Wood was placed in the patrol car while officer spoke with the motel manager.
When the officer returned to her patrol car, she noticed the driver’s side front door was unlocked, items in the vehicle were in disarray, the center slide to the “cage” was opened and Wood was gone.
She was eventually re-apprehended, tried, and convicted, put on probation for 48 months.
