31-year-old Jon Dalton Watson faces charges of breaking and entering, theft, and fraudulent use of a credit card. According to Mountain Home Police, on May 8 Watson broke into a woman’s vehicle while she had gone into a local business for a few minutes. When she returned, authorities say that she had two credit cards, a debit card and a .380 semi-automatic handgun missing. Security footage from that business shows Watson getting out of a red Dodge flatbed truck, entering the victim’s vehicle from the passenger side, and taking the items.
The flatbed was found abandoned somewhere in Howell County and turned out to be stolen, too- taken from somewhere in Tecumseh earlier in the morning. Authorities finally caught up to Watson and he was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center and is facing one felony count of breaking and entering, one felony count of theft of property firearm less than $2,500, three felony counts of theft of property credit/debit card and two felony counts of fraudulent use of a credit card or debit card less than $1,000.
He is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.
