National Weather Service says tornadoes in Howell & Baxter counties were EF3’s

The National Weather Service has now confirmed that the Tornado in Baxter County, Sunday, was an EF3 tornado with peek wind speeds of 140 MPH. The Tornado had a path length of 6.52 miles and a path width of 1,000 yards. There was 1 fatality and 17 injured in the storm on Sunday.

 

The National Weather Service also confirmed that the Howell County Tornado near Mountain View was an EF3 tornado with winds up to 138 MPH. This tornado was on the ground for over 6 miles, one person was seriously injured and taken to a Springfield Hospital.  Multiple homes and properties were damaged.
