Five young girls were injured in an accident north of Birch Tree on Thursday. The Highway Patrol reports that all five girls are from Birch Tree and are ages 12 to 15. They were injured when a 15-year-old drove off and overturned, ejecting one passenger, a 13-year-old girl who was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The other four girls all suffered only minor injuries. The accident happened on County Road 459, three miles north of Birch Tree.
A Pottersville man was injured in an accident south of West Plains Thursday. 26-year-old Adrian Palmer suffered moderate injuries when he drove off the road and hit the end of a bridge. Palmer was taken to Ozarks Healthcare. The accident happened on County Road 8690, one mile south of West Plains.
An elderly Gainesville woman was injured in an accident south of Ava Saturday morning. The Highway Patrol reports that Barbara White suffered minor injuries when another vehicle ran a stop sign and pulled into the path of her vehicle. Her vehicle hit the rear of the vehicle that had pulled in front of her.
