A Mountain Grove man is behind bars on felony child molestation charges.
62-year-old John R Reed taken into custody Monday for child molestation of family members from 1999 in Bakersfield in Ozark County, where many of the alleged crimes are believed to have occurred all the way to this year. This past March, Missouri State Highway Patrol investigators looked into reports of the abuse. Following Reed’s arrest, he was formally charged by the Ozark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office with three counts of first degree statutory sodomy. Currently in the Ozark County Jail with no bond.
