A man from Newark is charged with three counts of involuntary manslaughter

A Truck driver from Newark Arkansas has been charged in connection with a fatal accident that killed three people in Howell County in 2022. Clayton Rainwater is charged with three counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of assault.  Rainwater was pulling a trailer full of cattle when he hit the SUV driven by 22-year-old Alexis Crider then rolled on top of the SUV.  Crider and her two young children were killed in the accident.   Rainwater told authorities that as he started to slow down at the traffic light which turned yellow, the truck began to slide and struck the SUV. No trial date has been set yet.
