The Highway Patrol reports that 89-year-old Clarence Shaw suffered serious injuries when his vehicle hit a towed unit that had entered the highway from a private drive. Shaw was flown to Cox South in Springfield. the accident happened on Highway 181, four miles north of Gainesville.
