
54-year-old William Daniel Bewley was arrested in a wooded area near Sulphur Rock. Bewley, who had been living in an old camper, had been wanted by the Arkansas Board of Parole for two years and was also wanted for failure to appear in Ohio. According to reports, a loaded sawed-off shotgun was located by the front door, and digital scales with meth residue and other drug-related paraphernalia were found in the camper. Shotgun slugs and a small amount of meth were found in Bewley’s pocket. Bewley is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, felony simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and felony criminal use of a prohibited weapon. He is also charged as a habitual offender. His bond was set at $50,000
