20-year-old Thomas Lee Nida was arrested for public intoxication. While he was being booked at the Independence County Jail he became agitated and headbutted an officer, breaking his nose. Nida is being held now on charges of two felony counts of second-degree battery and terroristic threatening and for misdemeanor public intoxication.
