Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander is warning county residents the Sheriff’s Office has received citizen complaints of receiving a call from a person identifying themselves as a Marion County Deputy and telling the residents there is a warrant for their arrest and how to handle the situation. Sheriff Alexander wants everyone to know that a Marion County Deputy will not call a resident about valid warrants. The Sheriff asked anyone receiving one of these calls to be sure to not disclose any personal information, hang up, and notify the MCSO to report the call.
