On Tuesday following a jury trial, 37-year-old Brandon Locklear of Ava was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use to prepare meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use to ingest meth. The jury deliberated for 45 minutes before returning with a guilty verdict. Locklear will be sentenced on September 30, 2024
