
COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri baseball standout Trevor Austin has agreed to terms on a free agent professional contract with Houston, the Astros organization announced Wednesday.
Austin, a four-year letterwinner as an infielder and outfielder for Mizzou, capped his collegiate career with a strong offensive campaign that saw the Jefferson City, Missouri product lead the Tigers in nearly every major offensive category. He belted a career-high 13 home runs while also pacing MU in hits (57), runs scored (51), doubles (11), walks (27), hit by pitch (20), total bases (109), hitting (.297), slugging (.568) and on-base percentage (.433).
