A vehicle was stopped on Highway 5 for speeding, and during the stop, the officer observed the two occupants of the vehicle were exhibiting signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance. John Matlick of Wentzville and Tanya Kirk of Bowling Green Missouri were the occupants. Kirk has an active warrant for her arrest and Matlick admitted to narcotic use. Deputies located a pipe used to smoke meth and a crystalline substance that field tested positive for meth. A warrant was issued for Matlick and Kirk for Possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Matlick’s bond was set at $2500 cash and Kirk’s was set at $5000 cash only.
