A Salem Arkansas man has been arrested in Izard County.

38-year-old Joshua Collins, a probation absconder was in the wrong house. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to Mobile Lane in Horseshoe Bend. A homeowner returned home and found a man asleep in a chair in his living room. Deputies asked Collins why he was in the house. Collins first told them the house was his, then that another person let him in. Collins then fled from the house leaving his boots near the chair he had been in. The boots were seized as evidence, a t-shirt, and a ball cap hanging on a lamp. A pipe used to smoke methamphetamine was also located. Deputy Boyd located approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine.

A short time later, Collins was found hiding in a closet at a residence on Cameo Ln. in Horseshoe Bend. At the time of his arrest, Collins was listed as a probation absconder for previous drug-related felony charges.

As a result, Joshua Collins has been charged in the Izard County Circuit Court with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing on foot, and criminal trespass. Collins has also been charged as a habitual offender for having more than four previous felony convictions. Collins also has a warrant out of Sharp County for probation revocation
