The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of a man after a traffic stop in Bakersfield. Deputies stopped a vehicle with no license plate in Bakersfield and the driver Jared Johnston found out the vehicle would be towed so he asked the deputy if he could get a ride home, which the deputy agreed to give him. He then asked to get some personal items from the vehicle including canned vegetables and a bucket of marijuana. The bucket appeared to have more than a legal amount of marijuana. When the deputy opened the bucket they found 42.5 grams of meth in individual bags and a scale and a partial meth pipe, along with 1 pound of marijuana. Johnston was charged with trafficking drugs, delivery and possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, and traffic violations. He was taken to the Ozark County jail.
