Chiefs starters will play half the game on Saturday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. –The Kansas City Chiefs concluded their training camp stay at Missouri Western State University as they prepare for Saturday’s preseason matchup against the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs held a 10-10-10 practice to close out their time at Missouri Western. Thursday marked the team’s annual Military Appreciation Day, per camp tradition.

The team returns to Arrowhead for their second of three preseason games on Saturday, then will resume practicing at their training complex. The Chiefs host the Ravens in Week 1 in three weeks.

Head coach Andy Reid said he expects the starters to play most of the first half in Saturday’s preseason game against the Lions at Arrowhead. The first-string offense played one series in Jacksonville.
