Ozarka College is in the process of searching for a new President.

Dr. Richard Dawe will retire in December. He has been the president since July 2009.

Under Dawe’s 15-year tenure, the college has experienced substantial growth, including a campus expansion in Fulton County and new buildings on its Melbourne and Mountain View campuses. Dr. Dawe also spearheaded the opening of technical centers in Ash Flat and Mountain View and facilitated the acquisition of student housing units. Several new academic programs were launched, under his leadership including agriculture, diesel service technology, information systems technology, precision machining, skilled trades, surgical technology, welding, and aviation-commercial pilot.

Ozarka College Vice President and Chief Information Officer Scott Pinkston, will chair the search committee, which also includes key campus community members and local leaders.
