Several accidents were reported over the weekend locally

A man from Glencoe was injured in an accident north of Cherokee Village on Saturday. According to reports 59-year-old Curtis Pyland was injured when he lost control of the pickup he was driving, drove off the road, and overturned. The accident happened on Highway 289 north of Cherokee Village. Pyland was taken to Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital.

 

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident south of Houston on Sunday. The Highway Patrol reports that 81-year-old Joseph Frydrych of Solo Mo. A 17-year-old boy from Willow Springs suffered minor injuries when the juvenile hit the rear of the vehicle that 46-year-old James Scroggins of Bunker Hill Il. was driving and then overturned. The vehicle Scroggins was driving then crossed the center of the road and a towed unit of the vehicle that Frydrych was driving. The accident happened on Highway 63, five miles south of Houston.

 

A Birch Tree girl was injured when she fell out of a vehicle. The 10-year-old girl suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mercy St Francis Hospital in Mountain View. The accident happened on Old 60 a half mile west of Birch Tree.

 

Early Sunday morning a man from Doniphan was injured in an accident north of Doniphan. The highway Patrol reports that 35-year-old Andrew Faler suffered minor injuries when he drove off the road and overturned the SUV he was driving. Faler was also charged with DWI, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident, and no insurance. The accident happened on Route K, nine miles north of Doniphan.
