A woman has been arrested for stealing a vehicle and assaulting the vehicle’s owner. On Saturday morning around 7:30 Howel County Deputies were dispatched to the area of County Road 1770 for an Auto Theft. Prior to the deputy’s arrival, the stolen vehicle was located and a vehicle pursuit ensued. After a short distance, the driver exited the vehicle continued running on foot, and was apprehended. Following the arrest, Deputies learned that the suspect, Misty Ryan, had assaulted the vehicle owner with a knife before stealing the vehicle. Ryan was placed under arrest and transported to the Howell County Adult Detention Center. Misty Ryan has been formally charged with robbery 1st degree, armed criminal action, domestic assault, resisting arrest, and stealing a motor vehicle.
