Levi Coffel was charged after Police responded to a home on Burke Avenue in August of 2023 for a medical emergency, where they found an infant not breathing. The Police say they could smell drugs when they arrived and Coffel allegedly admitted to putting the 6-month-old in a bathtub with the water running. Coffel got distracted while getting the diaper bag. Investigators say Coffel tried to revive the baby while calling 911. Other children were in the house at the time of the incident. Coffel is charged with abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death. He will be sentenced on September 23rd.
