The Big Creek Bridge on Highway 223 south of Viola will be partially closed for a while as the Arkansas Department of Transportation performs repairs. They announced the partial closing after a routine inspection. There will be a temporary traffic signal in place until repairs are complete. ARDOT reports that a new bridge will be installed later. The project was let in May and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026.
