In a story that you heard first on ECNN, the Arkansas State Police can now confirm that a Highland School student was killed in a crash involving an eighteen wheeler.
According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation the crash happened at 7:17a.m. on U.S 63, 4.7 miles north of U.S 62. Due to the fatal crash Friday night’s football game against Riverview was cancelled.
They also postponed Friday night’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony until September 27th. ACT testing for today has been cancelled, and the senior volleyball team will not participate in today’s Cave City tournament.
Riverview School posted a statement on social media offering prayers and support.
