A woman from Batesville was killed and other people were injured including three from West Plains in an accident south of Evening Shade Sunday. The Arkansas State Police report that 31-year-old Shaundra Johnson was killed. Also 30-year-old Emily Boyd, 34-year-old Colten Boyd, and a minor from West Plains were injured. A minor in the vehicle that Johnson was driving was injured as well when Johnson’s vehicle crossed the center of the road and hit the vehicle driven by Colten Boyd. The people who were injured were taken to White River Medical Center. The accident happened on Highway 167 south of Evening Shade in Rural Sharp County.
