A man from Alton has been arrested for an incident earlier this month.

56-year-old David Johnson was spotted by police on September 3, driving and knew he did not have a valid license began a pursuit. During the pursuit, Johnson hit his brakes causing a patrol car to his vehicle, then Johnson hit a patrol car in front of him. Johnson is charged with  Second Degree Assault of a Special Victim, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, two counts of First Degree Property Damage, Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless Manner Resulting in an Accident, Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicles, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License.
