A man from West Plains who was arrested last week for the alleged rape of an underage girl now faces additional charges.

38-year-old James Meese was arrested after he barricaded himself in his home and was later arrested after a four-hour standoff. Meese has now been charged with felony resisting arrest and for being a fugitive from out of state. Meese was originally charged in Fulton County with rape, fourth-degree sexual assault, and first-degree terroristic threatening.
