The local fire department assisted in the evacuation after roads became covered. The Missouri Highway Patrol and Texas County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene to help evacuate. There were reports of vehicles stalled in the water on roads. Officials at the Park said that the water level hit 3.6 feet on the gauge at the dam around midnight. They say the water rose two feet in less than 30 minutes. No one was injured in the flooding.
