19-year-old Logan Cody Jones allegedly threatened to shoot up the Brookland School and kill one of the students. Jones had been trying to contact a student (ex-girlfriend) who had broken up with him. On September 24th, at 1:45, Jones texted her saying he was outside the school, and then at 4:16 he texted “Answer I’ll kill you”, then at 4:29, he sent a text that said “Answer or I’ll shoot up the school” . Jones was arrested and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center after he was briefly held at the Randolph County Detention Center. Jones is charged with one count of felony first-degree making a terroristic threat, five counts of felony first-degree terroristic threatening, one count of felony threatening to commit acts of mass violence on school property, one count of felony stalking, and one count of misdemeanor harassing. He is being held on $1 million cash or surety bond.
