An organized effort in the region has been established to provide supplies to the recently devasted areas affected by Hurricane Helene.
If you would like to help in the cause, please take items to Thayer First Baptist Church on the corner of Third and Chestnut Street in downtown Thayer, The Alton Assembly of God, The Landing in Van Buren, the old shoe factory in Birch Tree or the church across the road, plus other locations in the area. A large trailer will be delivered to the disaster region, but time is short!! Get your items dropped off by October 12th. The last day to drop off is October 12th.
Some of the items needed include: dishes, towels, laundry detergents, shampoo, diapers, baby wipes, Gatorade, wrapped snacks, gift cards, socks in all sizes, clothing, sheets, toys, crayons, toilet paper, paper goods, gloves, mops, brooms, scrub brushes, cleaning supplies, rakes you name it they need it.
Please help those in need. Take your items to Thayer First Baptist Church before October 11th. Monetary donations of course are always welcome. If you want to leave a check, bring it by the studios of E-Communications on North Hwy 63 in Thayer. Make your check out to the Doniphan Ministerial Alliance.
