39-year-old Charles Randal Vanoven of Hardy was arrested on a charge of felony first-degree battery. According to reports, the Sheriff’s Office found a victim lying on the floor of a residence near Salem. The victim had two stab wounds to his left arm. He allegedly told deputies that Vanoven had punched him in the eye and he never saw him stab him. Vanoven was arrested and is being held on $50,000 bond.
