A woman from Ava was injured in a scooter accident in Douglas County Monday morning. The Highway Patrol reports that 59-year-old Teresa Anderson suffered minor injuries when the scooter she was driving began sliding and overturned. Anderson was taken to Cox South in Springfield. the accident happened on Missouri 14, four miles northwest of Ava.
A man from Success was injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday morning south of Houston. The Highway Patrol says that 56-year-old James Humphress, suffered minor injuries when he began passing another vehicle and the other vehicle hit Humphress’s pickup. The driver of the other vehicle, 76-year-old Larry Hamilton of Solo was not injured. Humphress was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on U.S. 63, three and a half miles south of Houston.
