West Plains Officer Receives 2024 Southeast Regional Award

Officer Daiman Meyer is receiving recognition at the recent Highway Safety and Traffic Conference for his efforts to achieve zero roadway traffic fatalities in Missouri, along with a dozen other officers. Meyer was chosen as the winner of the Southeast Regional Award due to his passion for DWI enforcement and his commitment to locating and apprehending those who pose a danger to the community by operating motor vehicles while impaired or intoxicated.

Since his assignment to the patrol division in October 2023, Meyer has conducted a total of 755 traffic stops and issued 427 citations and 537 warnings for various traffic offenses.
Meyer has attended training courses to further improve his ability to identify, investigate, and provide testimony in the field of impaired driving enforcement. He has also graduated from Missouri’s Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement course and participated in a Green Lab by Extract-Ed. Officer Meyer’s ultimate goal is to become a Drug Recognition Expert.
