FAYETTEVILLE – For the second year in a row, Arkansas hosted the preseason No. 1 team in the nation in a charity exhibition and, for the second year in a row, the 16th-ranked Razorbacks thrilled a sold-out Bud Walton Arena with an 85-69 victory over Kansas.

Arkansas was led by guards D.J. Wagner and Boogie Fland, who scored 24 and 22 points, respectively. Fland also had six of the team’s 12 steals and five assists.

 

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri men’s basketball opened its 2024-25 season with a 90-45 win in an exhibition against Lincoln Saturday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.

The 45-point exhibition victory is the largest margin since a 46-point win over Missouri Southern in 2011. Additionally, Mizzou’s 90 points was its most in an exhibition contest since 2015, when the Tigers tallied 92 against Missouri Western.

Junior guard Mark Mitchell led Missouri with 22 points, 15 of which were in the first half. Graduate guard Caleb Grill followed with 20 points and led with six rebounds for the Tigers.

 

JONESBORO, Ark. (10/26/24) – Derrian Ford led the way with 21 points on Saturday inside First National Bank Arena, helping lead the Arkansas State men’s basketball team to a 78-71 exhibition victory against Trevecca Nazarene.

Ford’s effort came on 9-of-14 shooting in 33 minutes, as the Red Wolves shot 53.1 percent in the second half to overcome a halftime deficit.  Taryn Todd added 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists on the day, while Kibe Julien tacked on 13 points.
