
Law enforcement officer from numerous agencies came together to perform a planned Law Enforcement saturation in Sharp County that was planned and organized by the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office. The purpose of the operation was to target individuals who had active warrants for their arrest. The saturation began early last Thursday morning and lasted until midnight. The result of the saturation was 171 traffic stops, 29 felony arrests, 11 home visits, and compliance checks, and they are still searching for several more with active warrants. There were 113 calls for service. Agencies participating in the saturation included, Ash Flat, Cave City, Highland, Hardy, Evening Shade, and Cherokee Village PDs, Izard and Independence County Sheriff’s offices, Arkansas State Police, the 3rd Judicial Drug Task Force, The Arkansas Department of Community Corrections, and the U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force, along with the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office.
