SHARP COUNTY, AR:
Souper Saturday throughout Sharp County is today; this is the first annual fundraiser to support children in Sharp County foster care. Area churches and various denominations have banded together to host this event, making delicious quart size soup to sell at $8.00 per quart. Several children are placed outside of Sharp County due to the lack of foster homes. Thayer Revitalization Group is hosting “Coffee at the Caboose” today morning from 9 to 11. Free McDonalds coffee for anyone who would like to stop by the Thayer Tourist Information Center at the Caboose next to McDonalds in Thayer. Share your thoughts and ideas on how we can better revitalize the town and make it great. T-Shirts will be available for sale along with some brochures. Come express your ideas!
