Independence County authorities are searching for a man who was reported missing on the White River. 53-year-old Bryant Calvert of Batesville was reported missing on Monday. Calvert was last seen kayaking on the White River. His vehicle was found at the boat ramp in Guion, Arkansas. Authorities say that Calvert sent an email to family on Saturday to say goodbye. Because of river conditions, the search has been paused.
